Farm Pond Fishing Tips
Farm pond fishing is a great way to get your kids into the sport, or just to catch a grip of fish! They are hardly pressured, allowing you to unleash catching havoc on them!
If you know someone around you, or have an area in mind for a farm pond fishing trip, you need to get on it! If not, you are missing out on some of the best fishing of your life! These ponds receive hardly any fishing pressure, which means, that just about any bait you throw is fair game! Keep a few things in mind though, while you are out on your next farm pond hittin’ em up.
When you approach the bank, make sure you walk up stealthily. Just because this is a farm pond that hasn’t been fished much, doesn’t mean that the fish still won’t spook. You can, and will spook them. Make your first cast while you are away from the bank, as you will usually walk up on a fish cruising the shallows, and scare him off.
When you are walking the banks, pick a spot and stop. Make your casts about 15 degrees apart from each other, so that you are fan casting the area. Once you have made it back to where you began, you can continue on down the bank. This method will help you effectively cover the territory that you can reach from the bank. So remember on your next farm pond fishing trip, to keep a stealthy approach, and tear ‘em up!
